The second exhbit of the summer is “Defined/Redefined” which features five women artists who have redefined their lives through the creative process and becoming an artist. The exhibit runs from August 25th – September 29th, 2017. The artist reception will be September 21st at 4:30-6:30 and open to the public.
Kristi Baker’s attractively dramatic and textural paintings combine both realism and expressionist attributes. A sophisticated blend of naturalism and precision are defining features of Jo Griffith’s alluring drawings and paintings. Landscape compositions that concentrate on the use of dramatic color, realism and texture are components that contribute to the engaging images of Saundra Holevas. The paintings of Anita Rainey showcase her exploratory artistic nature that blends representation and abstraction into wonderful and unexpected results. Jimmie Roberson has a history of creating beautifully described imagery
that has both specific, allegorical and expressive characteristics.
