Join us for excerpts from the PBS documentary ARAB AMERICAN STORIES: SERVING THE NATION. This episode shows the complexities of the Arab American experience and features Arab Americans who all have a mission to help the wider community. They include a cardiologist, a sergeant from a sheriff's department, and a priest in an orthodox church.

After the documentary, get a better understanding as people from this culture offer their thoughts and answer questions in a follow-up panel discussion.

ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY: Nashville Public Television presents Arab American Stories is a 13-part series produced by Detroit Public Television that explores the diversity of the Arab-American experience. Hosted by NPR's Neda Ulaby, each half hour features three short, character driven documentaries produced by a variety of independent filmmakers which profile Arab Americans making an impact in their community, their profession, their family or the world at large.
