FEATURING WORKS BY:

Sue Henry, Susan W. N. Ruach, Mary Rice & Sharon Brown Christopher

The Abstract Group is a collective of women who seek to explore the unseen and make their discoveries visible through the practice of abstract fine art photography. By focusing on shape, color, pattern, texture, angle, tone and perspective, their offerings invite rather than direct and evoke the emotional engagement of the viewer. Through the use of creative photographic methodologies including intentional camera movement, multiple exposure, and bold blur, their work mystifies rather than explains. In viewing their work, the question to be asked is not “What is it?” but rather “How does it make me feel?” The Abstract Group pushes beyond the boundaries of convention to reveal the essence of life within and around us simply waiting to be uncovered.
