For the 2010 Regional Gathering of Your Choice!

The gatherings provide an opportunity for alums to reconnect and allow plenty of time for visiting. Each is in a different setting. The Scarritt-Bennett Center gathering will include the rich festivities of Christmas, while the gathering at Saint Paul School of Theology will highlight the history and legacy of National College.

The Executive Committee of the Alumni/ae Association is sponsoring a videotaping project to record alumni/ae histories and stories for the Virginia Davis Laskey Research Library at Scarritt-Bennett Center. Taping sessions will be set up at each of the regional events.

Saint Paul School of Theology
Kansas City, MO - September 23-25, 2010

The International Alumni/ae Association of Scarritt and National Colleges is holding its fall regional gathering Thursday, September 23, 2010 through Saturday morning, September 25, 2010 at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City.  The event will take place in The Holter Center in cooperation with Saint Paul School of Theology.

The event starts with registration beginning at 4:00PM and ends with breakfast on Saturday morning.

This regional gathering will concentrate on the history and legacy of National College, which closed in 1964.  Those who attended National are part of our alumni/ae association and have been well-represented on its executive committee by Winona Campbell, Jean Leedham and Grace Estel.  Phyllis Wolfe, another National College alum, has just joined the executive committee as one of its newest members.  They will all be joining the rest of the alumni/ae executive committee in welcoming National and Scarritt alums to this gathering.

Activities planned so far include a dinner the first evening and after dinner dessert buffet, a time to see the memorabilia in the National College Room and hear from the archivist, Maggie Mueller, words from H. Sharon Howell, president of Scarritt-Bennett Center, and plenty of time for alums to get reacquainted with old friends and make new ones.  The full itinerary will be available on our web site very soon.
